Introduction: My purpose on Blogger

As I watch HGTV on my cable television, I can't help but think about how I'd want my house to be if I ever chose to finally settle down into one permanent house to live happily ever after. But whenever I google search "custom houses," all that comes up are houses that are pre-made from the imagination of someone else. I envision one day having the option to tell a construction crew exactly how I want my own house to be built, which includes equipment and furniture installations, color, themes, etc. When I watch programs like house flippers or the two brothers that renovate houses, I personally think to myself that I wouldn't want others making all those decisions for me. Besides, I don't like all the unnecessary fixtures on the walls, area rugs, etc. that they always seem to spend your budget on. I'm a very idealistic, but practical person.
Given that I'm always entering PCH.com sweepstakes, I have high hopes of one day winning a million dollars, or any amount that will allow me to create my own house. I wouldn't want to spend the entire amount, but I believe even with a $100,000 budget, I could still have my custom house built which could include the types of rooms I want.
Based on what I've seen, most people want the standard type of house with the standard rooms: living room, kitchen, dining room, master bedroom w/ master bathroom, a second bathroom,  2-3 spare rooms, and garage. I would say, screw the dining room and convert the kitchen into a space that has a big enough island in the middle that you can use it as a dining room table to entertain and feed guests. Of course a spacious kitchen/dining room combination would be great with lots of counter-top space to prepare the food before putting it out on the island. I am especially fond of the idea of having my own home gym, but not just any small room with a weight set. I want it to look professional and unique to say the least. It must look like an adult playground.
